On behalf of the pupils, staff and Governors of Oxclose Primary Academy I am delighted to welcome you to our fabulous website! We are a mainstream primary academy with a resourced provision for children with physical and/or medical needs.
We are very proud of our school and our wonderful children, so it is lovely to have a site where we can share some of what is happening here in school with you. We hope you will find the site interesting and helpful as we aim to provide up-to-date information about life at Oxclose Primary Academy and provide a taster of the school. Our website is continuing to flourish and we still have many more plans and ideas for the future. It has become one of our key tools for communicating with the wider Oxclose community and we encourage visitors to communicate back to the school anything they would like to see on the website. Whatever the needs of your child and whatever interests they have, we aim to ensure your child feels safe, has fun and enjoys success here. We are constantly striving to give the children the best possible education by aiming to provide high quality teaching and learning, care and support. As a community, we are committed to establishing high aspirations and a love of learning, enabling all of our children to be caring, confident and independent learners. By providing a well-structured and integrated curriculum, and by promoting good behaviour through positive reinforcement, we aim to enthuse in all children a love of learning as well as mutual respect and care for our school family. We are also fortunate to have our resourced provision for pupils with physical and medical difficulties. As such, we offer a full range of facilities and opportunities for children with physical and medical needs led by our very skilful staff.
We take pride in our relationships with parents and carers. We believe education is most successful if there is a strong partnership between home and school and that children learn best when home and school work together for their benefit. We want everyone in our school community to feel a sense of pride and ownership in what we achieve together. Your child’s talents and achievements are always celebrated by the whole school community and shared with you at every opportunity. We value our relationships with parents, carers and the wider community and hope that by working with you, the time your child spends with us will be happy and rewarding.
